How to Apply for Norka Pravasi Raksha Insurance Policy(NPRI)
Details of coverage
- One Lakh for Critical Illness(as per schedule) on producing Medical certificate from a Registered Medical Practitioner
- Apart from Critical Illness Care, add on benefit of Accident Insurance coverage of Rs.2 Lakhs for life and up to Rs.1 Lakh for permanent/partial disability.
Eligibility
- Should be a Pravasi residing or working abroad with a valid passport and visa for at least 6 months
- Age 18-60 years
Duration
- One year and can be renewed
Documents Needed
- Before applying make sure that all the required documents are scanned and prepared in jpeg formats
- Copies of front and address page of the passport
- Copy of Visa Page/ Iqama/ Work Permit/ Residence Permit
- College / University details for Pravasi Student ID Card
- Photo and Signature of the applicant
Application fee
Application can be submitted online with a registration fee of Rs.550/- (including premium) (for one year)
Renewal
You can apply for renewal within 30 days of the date of expiry
Copies of prescribed documents and renewal fee should be submitted

- Kidney failure(end stage renal failure)- Nephrologist
- Primary pulmonary arterial Hypertension- Cardiologist/Pulmonologist
- Multiple Sclerosis- Neurologist
- Major organ transplant- Concerned Specialty Doctor/General Surgeon
- Coronary artery by-pass grafts- CTVS(Cardio Thoracic & vascular surgeon)
- Aorta graft surgery- CTVS(Cardio Thoracic & vascular surgeon)
- Heart Valve surgery- CTVS(Cardio Thoracic & vascular surgeon)
- Stroke- Neurologist
- Myocardial Infarction (First heart Attack)- Cardiologist
- Coma- Neurologist
- Total Blindness- Ophthalmologist
- Paralysis- Neurologist
